Tea lovers rejoice! You may be improving your health and wellbeing with each sip. Tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant which you’ve probably consumed in the form of white tea, green tea, oolong tea, black tea, or pu-erh (or pu’er) tea. Some herbal teas (also referred to as tisanes) have health benefits too, but that’s a subject for another time.

My quest for an acceptable cow’s milk alternative for black tea continues with almond milk, specifically Silk Unsweet Almond Milk. Previously I tried Silk Original Soymilk with unsatisfactory results. I had higher hopes for almond milk based on its reputed mild flavor.
The milk by itself had a very light (unsurprisingly) almond flavor. I detected a bitter aftertaste that I assume would be lessened by sweetener.
